Winged Ankh

Alright, this is one of two tattoos possessed by my OC Amadeus. Ironically, he is a guardian angel and also received the tattoo from an acquaintance who is also an angel.

It took me a while to actually come up with the idea for this particular one. I knew it had to have a meaning behind it, but I couldn't think of anything good enough. Then it hit me after I figured out the other people Amadeus had been responsible for over the years.

So, here's the explanation I came up with. The ankh represents both life, something central to a guardian angel's job, and the ancient Egyptian pharaoh he once guarded, not to mention his current assignment is fascinated by ancient Egypt. The wings represent his status as an angel (before he falls) and the rainbow color is just because he thinks it looks cool.

So, there you have it. That's it. He also has another tattoo, but I'm not sure what it is quite yet. It's going to be something different and unrelated to Egypt, possibly having something to do with the mythology of one of his other assignments, I don't know. I think it will also be black and white instead of in color, just to give some variety.
